T-Ball - Spring 2026

Pre-K/K:  Learn the basics of baseball by starting out in T-Ball in a fun atmosphere!

This Co-Ed program is for children going into Kindergarten fall of 2025 or 2026.

Enjoy an 8-week season with a mix of games and practices. All games and practices are held at the Auxiliary Fields in City Park on Sunday afternoons between noon and 3 p.m.

Each game/practice is one hour in length. An adult must accompany each child at each session.

Required Equipment: Each player is required to have a baseball glove and batting helmet; all other equipment will be provided by Tiffin Parks and Recreation.

WE NEED VOLUNTEER COACHES.  Volunteer coaching is fun and rewarding! Practice plans are available to give coaches a gameplan to follow each week. Please indicate your interest in volunteering during your child's registration.

Tai Chi (Ages 6-10 with a parent or caregiver) - March - Spring 2026

Join us for Youth, Pre-Teen, and Teen Tai Chi with Master Song.
Dan Song is an accomplished Tai Chi instructor with extensive training in Chen-style Tai Chi. With more than 10 years of teaching experience in schools and community programs in the United States and abroad, she is recognized as an outstanding coach whose students have earned awards in national and international Tai Chi competitions. Her honors include the First Wudang Tai Chi Hero Culture and Wisdom All-Around Gold Medal, the Outstanding Coach Award at the 2nd World Martial Arts Online Competition, the First Prize in Chen-style Tai Chi at the Hainan Sanya World Tai Chi Online Competition, etc. Her teaching emphasizes both technical precision and personal growth, helping students develop balance, focus, and perseverance. Dan also believes Tai Chi is not only a martial art, but also a lifelong practice that cultivates strength, mindfulness, and character.

Family Tai Chi (Ages 6–10, with a parent or caregiver)

In this Family Tai Chi class, participants learn together through playful Chen-style Tai Chi movements designed to build coordination, focus, and confidence. Using age-appropriate barehand forms and soft, safe props, families practice mindful movement in a supportive and joyful environment.
This class strengthens not only children’s emotional regulation and self-discipline, but also family connection—creating meaningful moments of calm, cooperation, and shared growth. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to move together.

Fee: $60 includes 1 child + 1 parent. Parent does not have to participate.

Tai Chi (Pre-Teens/Teens 10+) - Spring 2026

Designed especially for preteens and teens, this Chen-style Tai Chi class helps students develop physical strength, balance, and mental focus during a time of rapid growth and change. Through structured forms and safe, age-appropriate techniques, students build confidence, resilience, and self-control in a positive, encouraging setting.
Beyond movement, participants gain tools for stress management, emotional regulation, and self-discipline—skills that support both academic success and personal well-being. This class welcomes beginners and experienced participants alike.

Fee: $60/participant

When: Saturdays, March 7 - March 28

Tai Chi (Adults 18+) March - Spring 2026

Adult Tai Chi (Ages 18+)

This adult Chen-style Tai Chi class offers a balanced approach to wellness through mindful movement, breath control, and focused practice. Participants learn traditional barehand forms and safe, accessible techniques that improve flexibility, balance, and overall body awareness.

Whether you are new to Tai Chi or returning to the practice, this class provides a calm, supportive environment to reduce stress, build strength, and reconnect with your body and mind. Over time, students also gain a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture and the philosophy behind Tai Chi as a lifelong practice for health and inner balance.

Supreme Basketball League - Winter 2026

Supreme Youth Basketball Program

Who:  Grades 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, and 5th-6th (Boys and Girls divisions for each grade)                       

When: January 3-February 21 (February 28: 5th-6th Grade season-ending tournament) (Open Practice is January 3 for 1st-2nd graders; all games begin on January 10). 3rd-6th grade will scrimmage on January 3rd.

Where: North Liberty Recreation Center, Coralville Recreation Center, Buford Garner, Tiffin Elementary, Oak Hill Elementary, and Van Allen Elementary Schools.

Days:  Saturdays

Times: 9:00-6:00 (These times are estimates, and teams may play at any time during the listed hours, depending on the team and grade level of the kids.)

Fee: $55 for 1st-2nd grade, $65 for 3rd-4th grade, and $75 for 5th-6th grade.

Registration Deadline: November 9 (a $5.00 late fee applies after the deadline). If optimal numbers are not achieved, the league may be closed. Sign up early!!

Practices for 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grade will begin on December 7 and take place on Sundays from 3:00-8:00 pm. Practices will also be held on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 pm, depending on the volunteer coach's availability and the chosen time and day. Practice will be one hour long. First- and second-graders will have their first team practice on January 3. When games start on January 10, the first 40 minutes of the 1-2 grade will be spent practicing, followed by two 14-minute half games.     

Youth Baseball/Softball Leagues - Spring 2026

Tiffin Parks and Recreation is excited to partner with the NLCBS league for recreational baseball and softball leagues! All practices are held in Tiffin at City Park. Games may be played at City Park in Tiffin or Penn Meadows Park in North Liberty. 

Step 3 (5-6yrs) Coach Pitch Division - Sunday afternoon practices, Wednesday night games. There may be a possible Friday night game.  April 5 thru June 19. Must be age 5 by program start date.

Step 5 (9-11yrs)  (4th-5th Grade) Kid Pitch No Walks - Monday and Thursday nights for games and practices. There may be a possible Friday night game. March 30 thru June 29. Any child who reaches their 9th birthday on or before April 30, 2026 and does not reach their 12th birthday by July 4, 2026

Step 6 (Senior Division) (11-13yrs) Regular Rules - Monday and Thursday nights for games and practices. There may be a possible Friday night game. March 30 thru June 29. Any child who reaches their 11th birthday on or before April 30, 2026 and does not reach their 14th birthday by July 4th, 2026

Pee-Wee Basketball - Annual 2026

Pee Wee Basketball with Tiffin Rec

Get ready to bounce into basketball fun with Tiffin Recreation! This co-ed program is designed for kids currently in Kindergarten or entering Kindergarten next fall (sorry, no younger participants).

Led by City of Tiffin staff, this camp-style program focuses on skills and drills—no teams, no games, and no pressure. It’s all about learning the basics and having a blast!

Note: This is not part of the Supreme League. No uniforms or photos are included at this level.

Location: Oak Hill Elementary
Dates: Sundays from January 4 to February 8
Times: BOYS: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
GIRLS: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Times may shift slightly based on volunteer coach availability.

We’re looking for volunteer assistant coaches to help make this program a slam dunk—no experience needed, just a love for helping kids grow!

Cost shouldn’t be a barrier. If you need scholarship info, reach out to aplatz@tiffin-iowa.org.

Adult Pick Up Basketball - Winter 2026

Join us at the CCA Middle School Auxiliary Gym from 6pm to 8pm each Wednesday during the school year

No hoops during CCA Holiday, Spring and Summer breaks.  Park in main lot, use front door. 

Must be 18 and out of high school.  This is free, but please sign up so we have a waiver for you and contact info. Thanks!

30 Plus Basketball - Winter 2026

Come on Down for a 30 plus basketball open gym!

Bring clean sneakers, a white shirt and a black shirt. 

Tiffin Middle School 6pm to 8pm:

Monday nights Sept  thru May, June. No games when school is on Holiday, Spring or Summer breaks.
